Welcome to the Florida Coordinating Council
for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Our mission statement: “To provide a forum for public input and outreach resulting in technical assistance, advocacy, education, and improved communication access among public and private entities to meet the needs of deaf, hard of hearing, late-deafened and deaf-blind persons.”
WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR

Hello and thank you for visiting our website! The Florida Coordinating Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (FCCDHH) was created by legislative statute in 2004 and we are now entering our fifth year of service to the 3 million residents of Florida who are deaf, hard of hearing, late-deafened, or deaf/blind.
The FCCDHH is comprised of 17 dedicated individuals representing organizations and agencies committed to serving the needs of Floridians with hearing loss.
There are vacancies on the FCCDHH due to term limitations – click here to find out which organization’s seats are available and how to apply.
We have something new and exciting on our website – a video produced in conjunction with the Florida Hospital Association. Click here to view “Hospital Compliance with ADA for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing."
Also new is our online public comment form in case you cannot come to one of our public hearings in person. Your comments are extremely important to us. Click here to submit your input regarding services in Florida for people with hearing loss.
If you have searched our website and still have unanswered questions, please contact us immediately at info@fccdhh.org or call Mary Grace in our Tallahassee office toll-free at 866-602-3275.
The FCCDHH Council strives to be the primary resource for persons seeking assistance with hearing loss issues in Florida.
Sincerely,
Joan Haber
